ü Focuses on the development and use of a variety of modes of communication skills selected, tailored and used effectively to impact specific audiences.
ü Focuses on the development, interaction and expression of critical and creative thinking processes
ü Focuses on the development and use of skills to work effectively and productively with others.
ü Focuses on the selection and use of digital tools by students to improve their problem-solving and communication.
ü Focuses on work habits and study skills to be an effective and productive independent learner --- exhibitions of responsibility
ü Focuses on metacognitive skills of self-reflection: self-assessment, self-evaluation and goal setting to improve performance.
Rigor is a relative term. It is a condition of the learning environment which stretches the individual learner to move beyond the individual’s current “comfort zone” and grow as an independent learner. A “rigorous” PST would stretch the student’s performance to continuously learn, question, define and solve problems through critical and creative thinking.
